The Crucible Moment report is intended to serve as a catalyst for action. The report represents a collective set of recommendations and requires a collective mustering of coordinated community actions so that colleges, community colleges, and universities can offer the nation the full resources we need to restore and expand our depleted civic capital and fully serve the democracy upon which our common future depends.
The National Task Force, AAC&U, and GPI invite stakeholder groups inside and outside of higher education to review the report’s recommendations and use the questions and tools in the appendices to develop plans of action to elevate civic learning and democratic engagement as national priorities.
